Subject: THREAT of more frack-sand mining. Act now!
Hi frack-sand mining fighters,
Please read, act, and share with others. This directly affects
us!
The U.S. Senate will vote on a bill (S.2083) that would greatly speed up
U.S. exports of natural gas abroad. This would mean much more fracking, and
thus much more frack
sand mining in our region -- so please call your Senators with this message:
"As a constituent, I want Senator ____ to oppose S. 2083 and all efforts to
export gas abroad. We should put U.S. communities over oil and gas
profits."
Senator phone numbers are below.
- More fracking in the U.S., putting our drinking water, air, climate and health further at risk, and thus
- Resulting in more frack sand mining in our region
- Higher gas prices here at home, reversing industry claims that fracking creates energy independence
- Bigger oil and gas industry profits as they sell gas abroad - most likely Asia, not the Ukraine.
Please call your senators today or tomorrow (4/10-11):
MN
Senator Amy Klobuchar: 1-888-224-9043Senator Al Franken: 202-224-5641
WI
Tammy Baldwin: (202) 224-5653Senator Ron Johnson: (202) 224-5323
. . . and share this email with others!
Onward,
Jim
