Please try to attend. MPR is
misreporting about this issue, claiming that mining within 1 miles of trout was
banned by the legislature. Senator Schmit
did try to get that in law, but the pro-mining folks defeated it. Under the
compromise that passed, mining is allowed with a permit from the DNR.
People
working to make sure frac sand is
adequately regulated tell me that the industry most likely wants people think
that any additional measures are overly burdensome. Review coverage from last
